Town Hall Station

The new Town Hall Station will be located under Swanston Street. The main feature of the station will be a direct passenger connection to Flinders Street Station.

The station will feature a convenient 7 entry points and the City Square will be returned to the community as a public space following station completion. Town Hall Station will take advantage of nearby laneways and open up more convenient pedestrian routes to access trains.

Current works as of July 2023 include lift shaft work, continued underground structures and lining work and the removal of Swanston Street site sheds and gantry by late August.
