First Sitting Day 2023

It was incredibly exciting to come together with colleagues and friends for the first Parliament sitting day of 2023 and the first of the year as the member for Northern Metropolitan Region. We were treated to many inaugural speeches given by brand new members in the Legislative Council and in the Assembly, with more to come.
I also enjoyed my very first question time answering questions posed by other members as the Minister for Corrections, Youth Justice and Victim Support.
The day was made even more special as my colleagues Kathleen Matthews-Ward MP and Iwan Walters MP joined me in welcoming Shri Surendar Chary Bhatter of the Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy Temple in India, alongside a delegation from Melbourne’s Hindu community.
